GENERAL INFORMATION
The Bluetooth wireless PowerScan PBT9100 is a hand-held imager 1D barcode scanner with a green "laser-like" scan line and is aimed at industrial applications.
All PBT9100 scanners come with removable batteries. The scanner can be charged directly without removing the battery or the battery can be charged separately.
The PBT9100 scanner has a full industrial specification. It is sealed to IP65, operates at -20º to 50ºC and can withstand drops of 2m to concrete.
The scanner comes with a wide range of supporting equipment.
The combined Base/Charger supports up to 7 scanners per receiver at a wireless range of up to 100m.
There is a choice of three Base/Chargers.
All have a cable interface which supports Keyboard Wedge, RS232 and USB cables.
Two also support RS485 for networking and one of these provides an Ethernet connection.
A Charger Only base is also available.
A Multi-Bay battery charger is available.
Some PowerScan PBT9100 models are available as kits with Scanners, Base/Chargers, Power Supplies and US or EU Cords, and Cables.
Other configurations can be built from the Scanners, Base/Chargers, Charger Only Base, Multi-Bay Battery Charger, Cables, and Power Supplies and Cords.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 212 x 110 x 74mm (8.3 x 4.3 x 2.9").
ENVIRONMENTAL
The operating temperatare is -20º to 50ºC.
The scanners can withstand 50 drops from 2M (6.6') to concrete.
The scanners are environmentally rated at IP65, which means that they are totally protected against dust and can withstand low pressure jets of water.
The cradle can withstand 50 drops from 1.2M (3.9') to concrete.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The PBT9100 scanner is powered by an internal battery which can be recharged using a Base/Charger, Charge Only Base or a Multi-Bay Battery Charger.
The base/charger works with 4.5 to 30 V and the power required is 380mA at 5VDC.
It is recommended to connect a 12V supply directly to the base/charger.
It is possible to use 5V "host power" via the communication cable but this increases the charge time from about 4 to 10 hours.
