The Datalogic PowerScan PD9630-AR is a family of ultra rugged hand-held corded short to extra-long range auto-focus barcode scanners.
WHERE DOES THE POWERSCAN PD9630-AR FIT?
The PowerScan PD9630-AR replaces the PD9531-AR and is part of the PowerScan 9600 family.
The PowerScan 9600 family is the latest in a long line of PowerScan Industrial barcode scanners.
The PowerScan PD9630-AR is the corded AR model.
The other members of the 9600-AR family are cordless scanners.

The PowerScan PD9630-AR is aimed at indoors and outdoors warehousing applications which require industrial strength.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE POWERSCAN PD9630-AR?
TOUGHNESS
The PowerScan PD9630-AR is tough enough for most applications.
It can be dropped from a height of 2.5m to concrete at 20ºC.
It works at temperatures from to -30ºC to 50ºC.
It is totally sealed to dust and withstands temporary immersion in water up to 1m.
POWERSCAN 9600-AR OPTICS
The PowerScan PD9630-AR omnidirectional imager is an advanced scanner with two cameras to cover the near range and extra long range up to 20m.
It can read 1D/2D printed barcodes which are damaged, low quality or even shrink wrapped.
Barcodes can be scanned at extremely tilted angles. Pallets on the top of warehouse racking can be read from the ground.
A highly visible red dot is projected onto the barcode to assist aiming.
MOTIONIX TECHNOLOGY
The PowerScan PD9630-AR uses Datalogic Motionix Technology to make life easier.
Motionix automatically detects when the scanner is held in the hand and switches to hand-held mode. When the scanner is placed on a stand it switches to presentation mode.
GOOD-READ FEEDBACK
Good barcode reads are indicated by green lights, a loud beeper and the scanner handle vibrates.
5-30VDC POWER
All PowerScan PD9630-AR models can handle 5 to 30VDC ± 5%.
This voltage range covers a huge range of hardware scenarios and caters for the low voltage DC rings widely found in industry.
METAL HOOK
The PowerScan PD9630-AR has a metal hook at the rear of the top of the scanner which works with the take up reel accessory.
