GENERAL INFORMATION
The Datalogic QuickScan QD2131 is a corded low cost general purpose hand-held imager 1D barcode scanner.
The QD2131 can read all standard 1D barcodes including the linear and stacked versions of the GS1 DataBar.
Typical maximum read distance for 13mil EAN13 is 58.0cm (22.8"). The QD2131 is rated at IP42, can withstand drops of 1.5M to concrete, has a working temperature range of 0º to 50ºC and comes with a five year factory warranty.
The QD2131 hand-held scanner comes in two colour schemes, black or white.
The QD2131 works with Keyboard Wedge, RS232 or USB cables.
Some QuickScan QD2131 models are available as Scanner Kits which include cables.
Other configurations can be built from Scanners, Cables and Power Supplies and Cords.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 163 x 91 x 41mm (6.4 x 3.6 x 1.6").
The weight is 0.150kg (0.33lb).
ENVIRONMENTAL
The scanner can withstand repeated 1.5m (5.0') drops to concrete.
The operating temperature for the scanner is 0º to 50ºC.
The scanner is sealed to IP42. It is protected against objects > 1mm (eg. small tools) and withstands sprays of water 15º from the vertical.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The standard interface scanner requires 4.75 to 14VDC ± 10%.
The power requirement is 140mA at 5VDC.

The Datalogic QuickScan I QD2100 barcode scanner requires a cable for connection to PCs or other equipment.
The cable carries communication and power, and must match the scanner cable interface.
Most USB and Keyboard Wedge connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment.
Standard RS232 ports cannot provide power and RS232 connections will generally need the assistance of an external power supply and a cable with an external power socket.
