Datalogic provides the following data sheet for the QuickScan Mobile QM2100.
DESCRIPTION
The Datalogic QuickScan I QM2100 is a good value wireless hand-held linear imager barcode scanner aimed at the office, retail and light industrial sectors.
The scanner operates at up 12m from the radio base station which has a built-in charger.
The equipment comes in two colour schemes with a single multi-interface.
The cable interface works with Keyboard Wedge, RS232, Wand Emulation and USB cables.
The QM2100 can read all standard 1d barcodes and both the linear and stacked versions of the GS1 DataBar.
CABLES
A communications cable is required to connect the radio base station to PCs or other equipment.
The base station cable interface works with Keyboard Wedge, RS232, Wand Emulation or USB cables.
The base also requires 5V DC power to maintain the wireless link and to recharge the hand-held scanner when placed on the base. This is provided via the cable.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge and Wand Emulation connections are able to supply power directly from the connected equipment.
Standard RS232 connections generally cannot provide power directly from the connected equipment.
Where power cannot be obtained from the connected equipment a cable will required which in addition to the communications can also accept external power.
This power is provided by an external 5V DC power supply via a socket on the cable.
