The Datalogic QuickScan I QD2500 2D is a family of affordable hand-held corded 1D/2D barcode scanners featuring advanced technology.
WHERE IS THE QUICKSCAN I QD2500 2D USED?
The models of the QuickScan I QD2500 2D are aimed at General Purpose applications in the Retail, Commerce, Hospitality and Light Manufacturing sectors.
WHERE DOES THE QUICKSCAN I QD2500 2D FIT?
The QuickScan I QD2500 2D is the latest corded scanner in a long line of QuickScan products.
Previous corded models were the 1D QuickScan QD2131 and the 2D QuickScan QD2430. Both are rated at IP42.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE QUICKSCAN I QD2500 2D?
A HUGE STEP FORWARD IN CAPABILITIES
The QuickScan I QD2500 2D represents a huge step forward for scanners in this class.
In addition to all of the usual 1D and 2D barcodes the QuickScan I QD2500 2D adds Dot Code and Digimarc Watermarks.
In line with modern trends USB Type C connection has been added. The QuickScan I QD2500 2D cable interface now includes Keyboard Wedge, RS232 and both USB Type A and USB Type C. A number of USB Type C cables have been introduced along with a Type A to Type C converter.
TOUGHNESS
The QuickScan I QD2500 2D is pretty tough for an affordable scanner. It can be dropped from a height of 1.5m to concrete.
It operates at 0 to 50ºC.
It is sealed to IP52 which means it has some protection to dust and that it can withstand sprays of water at 15º from the vertical.
QUICKSCAN I QD2500 2D OPTICS
The QuickScan I QD2500 2D enjoys the new QuickScan optics which are designed to be easy on the eyes.
The scanner has an advanced Mpixel 1200x800 pixels sensor with adjustable soft red 617nm illumination. The precise aiming system features two blue triangles which are projected one each side of the barcode.
When a barcode has been read successfully a green spot is projected onto it.
MOTIONIX TECHNOLOGY
The QuickScan I QD2500 2D uses Datalogic Motionix Technology to make life easier.
Motionix automatically detects when the scanner is held in the hand and switches to hand-held mode.
When the scanner is placed on a stand it switches back to presentation mode.
