GENERAL INFORMATION
The scanner can be used with another Bluetooth device or in conjunction with the Honeywell CCB05-100BT-07N Charge and Communication Base or the Honeywell AP05-100BT-07N Access Point.
Both of these communicate with the 1981i by Bluetooth and have cable interfaces for onwards connections.
Both can handle communication with up to seven scanners.
The scanner can be charged using a Honeywell Charge and Communication Base or a Honeywell COB02 Charge-Only Base.
The 1981i is fitted with a Honeywell SCN01 removable battery which can be charged in a Honeywell MB4-BAT-SCN01xxD0 multi-bay battery charger.
The scanner colour is red.
The 1981i is available in kits which include a Charge and Communication Base and a USB cable.
Other configurations can be readily constructed from scanners, cables, charge and communication bases, access points, charge-only bases, power supplies, batteries and multi-bay battery chargers.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 133 x 75 x 195mm (5.2 x 2.9 x 7.6").

ENVIRONMENTAL
The scanner can withstand fifty 2m (6.5') drops to concrete at -20ºC.
The Charge and Communication Base can withstand fifty 1.2m (4') drops to concrete at -20ºC.
The operating temperature for the scanner, base (non-charging) and Access Point is -20º to 50ºC.
When charging the Charge and Communication Base, and the Charge-Only Base, operate at 5º to 40ºC.
The Multi-Bay Battery Charger operates at 5º to 40ºC.
The scanner is sealed to IP65 which means that it is totally protected against dust and low pressure jets of water.
The Charge and Communication Base is sealed to I541 which means that it is protected against dust (with limited ingress) and against dripping water and condensation.
The Access Points are sealed to IP54 which means that they are protected against dust (with limited ingress), and against water sprayed from all directions.
CABLES AND INTERFACES
The 1911i scanner has no cable connections.
The Charge and Communication Base and the Access Point work with a range of USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232 cables.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The scanner battery requires charging which takes about 4.5 hours.
The Charge and Communication Base and the Charge-Only Base require a power supply and need 1A at 5V.
The Multi-Bay Battery Charger comes with a power supply and needs 4A at 5V.
The Access Point needs 100mA at 5V and this is provided by the connection cable using host power or a power supply.
