GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Honeywell Intermec CK3X is a powerful industrial mobile computer equipped with a high performance 1D/2D barcode scanner.
The CK3X has a 8.9cm (3.5") colour touch screen and comes with a choice of alphanumeric or numeric keypads. The screen is made from high durability glass and is backlit. The keypad buttons are laser etched and also backlit.
The CK3X can be held in the hand and comes with a strap. Alternatively a scan handle accessory can be user installed and used as a pistol grip with a trigger to activate scanning.
The mobile computer has a removable battery which is rechargeable. The CK3X comes with the extended capacity 5100maH battery.
Charger accessories are available to recharge the battery or the mobile computer.
COMMUNICATIONS
The primary communication method is 802.11 abgn radio.
Bluetooth Class II is generally used to connect to other local devices.
Cabled communications can be set up using USB and RS232.
BARCODE SCANNER
The CK3X comes with a choice of the EA30 Standard Range 1D/2D imager or the EX25 Near/Far 1D/2D imager.
All common 1D and 2D barcodes can be read.
Minimum barwidths and cell sizes for the EA30 are 4mils for 1D barcodes and 6.6mils for 2D symbols.
The reading range of the EX25 extends from from about 152mm to 15M (6" to 50') depending on the size of the target barcode symbol.
MEMORY
The CK3X comes with 256MB of RAM memory and 1GB of ROM.
A customer accessible microSD slot can handle removable memory cards with up to 32GB capacity.
SOFTWARE
The CK3X comes with standard software or the Enterprise (formerly Intermec) Client Pack.
The standard software provides a development enviroment for Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET and JVM.
The Enterprise Client Pack provides a Terminal Emulator and a Browser. A HTML5 browser is available.
The CK3X can be locked down to control user access.
BATTERIES
The CK3X is supplied with one removable AB18 Extended Capacity Battery Pack.
Other suitable batteries include the 1001AB01 Extended Capacity 'Smart' Battery Pack which provides battery health data.

DOCKS AND CHARGERS
The CK3X mobile computer comes fitted with a removable battery.
The battery can either be removed and charged separately, or charged whilst installed in the CK3X mobile computer.
For environments which involve several CK3X units the most popular arrangement is to purchase additional batteries and charge them separately using one or more AC20 Quad Battery Charger units. This allows the CK3X mobile computers to be used round the clock by swapping the batteries.
