GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The dimensions of the PX6i are 335 x 482 x 238mm (13.2 x 19.0 x 9.4").
The printer weighs 14.8kg (32.6lb).
The media width is from 76.2mm (3") to 170mm (6.69").
The ribbon width is from 76.2mm (3") to 168mm (6.61").
The printer resolution can be 203 or 300dpi depending on the printhead.
MEDIA HANDLING
The PX6i offers a choice of the following factory fitted media handling options:
TEAR-OFF
This is the standard media handling arrangement. The label stationery is fed through the printer and after passing under the printhead emerges from the front of the printer.
The printed strip of label stationery is removed by pulling against a tear bar.
This mode works with any type of label.
LABEL PEEL WITH LINER REWIND
This mode only works for self-adhesive labels with gaps.
Single labels are part peeled from the liner on the tear bar and are ready for direct manual application.
The waste liner is taken down from the part peeled label, returned back through the printer and rewound on a spindle. The printed label has to be phsically removed before a further label is printed. This process is monitored by the Label Taken Sensor (LTS).
CUTTER
Cutter printer configurations have a factory fitted cutter unit on the front of the printer.
The printed label media passes through this unit and is cut across into individual pieces.
The label stationery will normally be non-adhesive label tags, receipt paper, or self-adhesive labels with gaps.
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
The PX6i as standard has:

LABEL MEDIA
As standard the PX6i works with outside wound label stationery in rolls of up to 203mm (8") outer diameter on 38mm (1.5") or 76mm (3") cores.
Alternatively fan-folded label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear.
The PX6i has a multi-position label gap sensor and a full width adjustable black mark sensor.
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The PX6i requires ribbons to print on thermal transfer (TT) label stationery.
The ribbons can be inside or outside coated and are wound on 25.4mm (1") cores.
The maximum length is 450M (1476').
The minimum ribbon width is 76.2mm (3") and the maximum is 168mm (6.61").

LABELS
PX6i printers work with thermal transfer (TT) or direct thermal (DT) media.
