GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SR31T family consists of three ranges of corded barcode scanners. These are:
- the SR31T1D range of 1D barcode scanners
- the SR31T2D range of 1D/2D barcode scanners with LED aimers
- the SR31THP range of 1D/2D barcode scanners with Laser aimers
In addition there are Healthcare models which are disinfectant ready.
The scanners come with a USB/Keyboard Wedge/RS232 cable interface for wired connection to other equipment.
Some scanners are supplied without cables, others come in kits with cables.
Cables are available for USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232.
A Power Supply and Mains Power Cords are available where power is required.
Other accessories include stands.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 107 x 68 x 168mm (4.2 x 2.7 x 6.6") LxWxH.
The weight of the corded SR31T scanner is 0.195Kg (0.43lbs), excluding the cable.
DROP RESISTANCE AND PROTECTION
The scanner can withstand twenty six drops from 1.83m (6') to steel or concrete.
The scanner is protected to IP53, which means that it is protected against dust (with some ingress) and sprays of water 15 degrees from vertical.
CABLES AND INTERFACES
USB, Keyboard Wedge and RS232 cables are available.
The SR31T scanners support USB Keyboard (HID), Serial USB (Virtual Comm), USB HID POS, USB IBM SurePOS, Keyboard Wedge and RS232.
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The SR31T scanners need power at 5V DC.
The SR31T1D scanners require up to 120mA, the SR31THP/SR31THPHC scanners require up to 330MA and SR31T2D/SR31T2DHC scanners require up to 360mA.
This power can be provided directly via a USB connection.
When using a Keyboard Wedge connection power is generally taken from the keyboard. If insufficient power is available an external power supply will need to be connected to the external power jack on the cable.
When using an RS232 connection an external power supply will be required.
RESOLUTION AND READING RANGES
The smallest barwidth for the SR31T1D 1D scanners is 4mil (0.1mm).
For the SG20THP/SG20T2D 1D/2D scanners the smallest barwidth for 1D barcodes is 4mil (0.1mm) and for 2D codes the smallest cell size is 6.6mil (0.17mm).
