SR61B BARCODE SCANNERS

The SR61B family consists of five Bluetooth wireless barcode scanners which use different scanner engines.

The members of the family are:

• SR61B1D
• SR61BL
• SR61BHP
• SR61BDPM
• SR61BXR

SR61B1D

This is the lowest cost model in the SR61B range.

The SR61B1D is a linear imager which can only read 1D barcodes (not stacked barcodes).

The maximum working range is about 50cm (19.29").

The minimum barwidth is 4mil (0.1mm, 0.004").

Typical reading ranges are:

5mil Code39 9 to 17.5cm (3.54 to 6.89")

13mil EAN13 5.2 to 28.5cm (2.05 to 11.22")

SR61BL

This is the best selling model in the SR61B range.

The SR61BL is a standard range laser scanner which can read 1D barcodes and stacked 2D barcodes.

It has an excellent working range and can read barcodes from close up to about 150 cm (59.1").

The minimum barwidth is 4mil (0.1mm, 0.004").

Typical reading ranges are:

5mil Code39 10 to 19.5cm (3.94 to 7.68")

13mil EAN13 4.5 to 49cm (1.77 to 19.29")

SR61BHP

The SR61BHP is a high performance area imager which can read 1D barcodes, stacked 2D barcodes and 2D barcodes.

The minimum 1D barwidth is 4mil (0.1mm, 0.004").

The minimum 2D cell size is 6.6mil (0.17mm, 0.007").

Typical reading ranges are:

5mil Code39 6.8 to 23.5cm (2.28 to 9.25")

13mil EAN13 7 to 60cm (1.77 to 19.29")

10mil PDF417 5.5 to 26cm (2.17 to 10.24")

10mil Data Matrix 6 to 21cm (2.36 to 8.27")

SR61BDPM

The SR61BDPM is a high performance, high density area imager which can read low contrast 1D barcodes and 2D barcodes found in Direct Part Marking (DPM) and decode dot peened symbols.

The minimum 1D barwidth is 3mil (0.008mm, 0.003").

The minimum 2D cell size is 5mil (0.14mm, 0.005").

Typical reading ranges are:

5mil Code39 5 to 15.3cm (1.97 to 6.02")

13mil EAN13 4 to 16.5cm (1.47 to 6.50")

10mil PDF417 5.5 to 26cm (2.17 to 10.24")

10mil Data Matrix 4.5 to 14cm (1.77 to 5.51")

SR61BXR

The SR61BXR is a high performance near and far area imager which can read 1D barcodes, stacked 2D barcodes and 2D barcodes, at the extreme distances typically found in warehousing applications.

The minimum 1D barwidth is 3mil (0.008mm, 0.003").

The minimum 2D cell size is 6.6mil (0.17mm, 0.007").

Typical reading ranges are:

10mil Code39 11 to 200cm (4.4 to 79.2")

20mil Code39 16 to 330cm

40mil Code39 38 to 700cm

13mil EAN13 20 to 200cm (7.87 to 79.2")

10mil Data Matrix 16 to 80cm (6.3 to 31.2")

55mil Data Matrix * to 400cm (157")

100mil Data Matrix * to 800cm (314")

BLUETOOTH COMMUNICATION

The SR61B scanners communicate via Bluetooth wireless.

There are no combined communication and charger base stations in the SR61B product range.

It is expected that the SR61B scanners will be paired directly with other Bluetooth enabled equipment.

Where it is required to communicate with equipment which requires a wired connection Intermec offers the SD62. This unit communicates with up to seven Bluetooth scanners and provides onwards communication via a single USB, RS232 or Keyboard Wedge cable.

DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT

The scanner dimensions are 107 x 68 x 168mm (4.2 x 2.7 x 6.6") LxWxH.

The weight of the Bluetooth wireless corded SR61B scanner is 0.404Kg (0.89lbs) including the battery.

DROP RESISTANCE AND PROTECTION

The scanner can withstand twenty six drops from 1.83m (6') to steel or concrete.

The scanner is protected to IP54, which means that it is protected against dust (with some ingress) and sprays of water from all directions.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

All SR61B scanners are shipped with a removable battery.

These batteries can be charged without removing them from the scanners or the batteries can be removed and charged separately. The scanner can be recharged by placing it in a desktop charge base which is connected to a power supply. The batteries can be charged by placing them in a 2, 4 or 8 bay charger which is connected to a power supply.
