GENERAL INFORMATION
The TSC MH240 Series is a family of nine heavy duty industrial label printers. All come with RS232, Ethernet LAN, USB 2.0, USB Host and a microSD card for memory expansion.
The standard models are the MH240, MH340 and MH640. These come with 203dpi, 300dpi and 600dpi print heads, 128MB of flash memory and a colour screen. The remaining six printers are advanced models which come with 512MB of flash memory and have a large colour touch screen.
The advanced models are divided into two groups.
The MH240T, MH340T and MH640T come with 203dpi, 300dpi and 600dpi printheads.
The second group, the MH240P, MH340P and MH640P, again come with 203dpi, 300dpi and 600dpi printheads but are housed in a taller case and offer label peel with liner rewind and full roll printed label rewind.
Throughout the entire family the maximum print speed depends on the resolution and is 14ips for 203pi, 12ips for 300dpi and 6ips for 600dpi.
COMMUNICATIONS
All models come with RS232, Ethernet LAN, USB 2.0, USB Host and a Real Time Clock.
The USB Host ports are used for connecting USB barcode readers and USB keyboards as input devices for stand-alone printing applications.
In addition to the above 802.11 a/b/n/g Wi-Fi can be added.
A GPIO Label Applicator interface with parallel port can be ordered as a pre-delivery option.
A Bluetooth module is available as a factory fitted option.
MEDIA HANDLING
Most models offer "tear-off" where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
The MH240P, MH340P and MH640P models come factory fitted with label peel-off and liner rewind, and internal full printed roll rewind.
A label cutter is available.
OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES
Some options and accessories can installed by the user.
Others can be installed pre-delivery or subsequently field installed by qualified personnel.
Options and accessories which can be installed by the user include the:

LABEL MEDIA
The MH240 Series can handle rolls of outside wound label stationery up to 203.2mm (8") outer diameter on 38mm or 76mm (1.5 or 3") cores.
Alternatively label media can be fed into the printer via slots in the rear and bottom of the printer casing.
The media width can be from 20mm (0.78") to 114mm (4.49"). The maximum printable width is 104mm (4.09").
Label length can be from 5 to 25400mm (0.2 to 1000") for 203dpi, 5 to 11340mm (0.2 to 450") for 300dpi and 5 to 2540mm (0.2 to 100") for 600dpi.
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
The MH240 Series has an adjustable label gap sensor and an adjustable black line sensor.
THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The MH240 Series is a thermal transfer printer which can print on thermal transfer label media with the aid of a thermal transfer ribbon.
These ribbons are inside or outside wound on cores with an outer diameter of 25.4mm (1").
The maximum roll diameter is 90mm (3.54") which equates to a ribbon length of 600M (1331') for standard ribbons.
The ribbon width can be from 25.4mm to 114.3mm (1 to 4.5").

LABELS
MH240 Series printers work with thermal transfer (TT) or direct thermal (DT) media.
TT media needs a ribbon. DT does not.

DELIVERY
Our standard charge for 2-3 day delivery to most locations in mainland UK is £10.
This charge is subject to a weight limit of 20Kg.
For consignments which are heavier than 20Kg we reserve the right to add a surcharge.
If your order includes products from more than one manufacturer we may need to ship items from more than one warehouse and in such circumstances there may be a carriage surcharge.
We will agree any carriage surcharge with you before accepting your order.
