GENERAL INFORMATION
The Zebra DS4308-XD is a corded gun shaped hand-held corded imager 1D, PDF and 2D barcode scanner.
This product is aimed at manufacturing processes which involve extremely dense barcodes printed on paper labels or direct part marked on non-reflective surfaces.
Works with USB, Keyboard Wedge, RS232 or IBM 46xx cables.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The scanner dimensions are 165mm (6.48") x 98mm (3.86") x 67mm (2.64") (HxLxW).
The weight of the scanner is 0.162Kg (0.36lbs).

POWER REQUIREMENTS
The input voltage is 5VDC ± 10%.
The required power is 360mA at 5VDC.
5 VDC Power supplies are available for applications which do not supply power over the host cable.
RESOLUTION AND READING RANGES
The High Density scanner has a maximum resolution of 2mil for Code39, 2mil for Code128 and 3mil for Datamatrix.
Typical reading ranges for the DS4308-XD scanner are:
2 mil: Code39: 1.27 to 7.62cm (0.5 to 3.0")
3 mil: Code39: 0.5 to 9.65cm (0.2 to 9.65")
5 mil: Code39: 0.25 to 11.94cm (0.1 to 4.7")

WARRANTY
The factory warranty is five years.
CABLES
Cables are included in the scanner kits.
For other scanner configurations a cable is required to provide communication and to carry power.
Most USB, Keyboard Wedge, and IBM 46xx connections are able to supply power directly to the scanner from the connected equipment. In some rare cases external power may be required.
Standard RS232 ports generally cannot provide power and RS232 connections will usually need the assistance of an external power supply and a cable with a power socket.
