GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Zebra GC420d is a 4ips Direct Thermal (DT) label printer with 203dpi resolution.
The printer has an easy to use single button user interface with coloured LED status lights.
The GC420d measures 170mm (6.7") x 201mm (7.9") x 208mm (8.2") (HxWxD).
The printer weighs 1.4kg (3lbs).
MEDIA HANDLING
The standard model offers "tear-off" mode where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
An alternative factory installed option provides label peel-off facilities (no liner rewind).
LABEL MEDIA
The GC420d can handle rolls of label stationery up to 127mm (5") outer diameter on 25mm (1") cores.
Alternatively fan-folded label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear.
The media width can be from 25.4mm (1") to 108mm (4.24"). The maximum printable width is 104mm (4.09").
The minimum label length is:
- 9.6mm (0.38").
The maximum label length is 99mm (39").
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
The GC420d has fixed position label gap and black line sensors.
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
The GC420d has USB, Serial and Parallel connectivity.
Ethernet is available as an external accessory which plugs into the parallel port.
MEMORY AND REAL TIME CLOCK
The printer comes with 8MB of flash memory and 8MB of SDRAM memory.
The GC420d does not have a Real Time Clock.
