GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Zebra ZD410 is a 2 inch Direct Thermal (DT) label printer with 203dpi or 300dpi resolution.
The printer has an easy to use three button user interface with a five icon control panel.
Healthcare models have disinfectant-ready plastics and a sealed button interface so that they are easy to clean and disinfect.
The ZD410 printer runs under ZPL or EPL.
DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT
The ZD410 measures 151.3mm (5.96") x 114.70mm (4.50") x 220.3mm (8.60") (H x W x D).
The case is hinged at the back and when opened the height increases to 284.2mm (11.19") and an additional clearance of 66.3mm (2.61") behind the printer is required.
The printer weighs 1.0kg (2.2lbs).
When fitted with the cutter option the depth increases to 253.4mm (9.98").
When fitted with the peeler option, and the front door is open, the depth increases to 271mm (10.67").
MEDIA HANDLING
The standard model offers "tear-off" mode where the printed stationery is removed by pulling it against a tear bar.
Other field installed options include a Dispenser and a Cutter.
LABEL MEDIA
The ZD410 can handle rolls of label stationery up to 127mm (5") outer diameter.
As standard the media roll core inner diameter is 12.7mm (0.5") or 25.4mm (1").
Optional media roll adapters are available for 38.1mm (1.5"), 50.8mm (2.0") and 76.2mm (3.0") Alternatively label media can be fed into the printer via a slot in the rear of the printer.
The media width is 15mm (0.585") to 60mm (2.36").
The maximum printable width is 56mm (2.2").
The minimum label lengths are:
- 6.35mm (0.25") for tear off
- 12.7mm (0.50") for dispensing
- 25.4mm (1") when used with the cutter
The maximum label length is 990mm (39").
The label media types can be continuous, die-cut, notched or black marked.
The ZD410 has variable position gap and black line sensors.
COMMUNICATIONS OPTIONS
All models of the ZD410 come with USB, USB Host, Bluetooth LE and NFC.
Bluetooth LE is a low energy short range version which was developed for mobile computers.
NFC is a very short range communication system for Android devices.
Factory fitted options include 10/100 Wired Ethernet or a dual radio with Wi-Fi 802.11ac and v4.1 Bluetooth (Classic).
Bluetooth v4.1 is the standard long range version.
Field installable options include 10/100 Wired Ethernet or Serial.
Where a configuration has both 10/100 Wired Ethernet and Wi-Fi these can be used concurrently.
MEMORY AND REAL TIME CLOCK
All of the printers come with 512MB of Flash memory and a Real Time Clock.

BATTERY PACK
The Battery Pack provides mobile power for the ZD410 printer.
Typical applications include placing the printer on a cart and working in a location where it is not possible to connect to mains power.
The battery pack consists of a Base Housing for the battery which attaches to the under surface of the printer and a rechargeable battery which slots into the Base Housing.
