WHAT LABELS AND RIBBONS CAN THE ZD611T-HC USE?
LABEL MEDIA
The ZD611t-hc can print on heat sensitive DT labels or on TT Labels with the aid of a Ribbon.
The ZD611t-hc has adjustable label sensors which means that the label media can be:
- Self-adhesive die-cut labels with gaps
- Self-adhesive butt-cut labels without gaps and with under-printed black marks
- Non-adhesive tags under-printed with black marks
- Non-adhesive tags punched with holes or slots
- Continuous stationery, for example receipt paper
- Wristbands
The printer works with rolls of label stationery wound on 12.7mm or 25.4mm standard cores.
Adapters are available so that 38.1mm, 50.9mm or 76.2mm can be used.
The maximum outside diameter of the rolls is 127mm.
Alternatively fanfold stationery can be fed in through a slot in the rear of the printer.
The label media width can be from 15mm to 60mm.
The maximum printable width depends on the resolution

THERMAL TRANSFER RIBBONS
The ZD611t-hc uses 74m long rolls of ribbon on 12.7mm cores.
The ribbons can be 33mm to 58mm wide.
The available Zebra ribbon materials are 2300 Wax for uncoated and coated paper label media, 3200 Wax/Resin for coated paper labels and some matte synthetics, and 5095 Resin for matte and glossy synthetics.
WHAT LABEL PRINTING SOFTWARE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE ZD611T-HC?
Most label printers are used in conjunction with Label Printing Software packages.
An example of labelling software is ZebraDesigner Essentials which is available free from Zebra.
WHAT CAN THE ZD611T-HC PRINT ON THE LABELS?
The ZD611t-hc prints monochrome text, barcodes and graphics.
The legibility of small print depends on the printhead resolution, 300dpi being the best option.
The ZD611t-hc comes with a range of resident fonts and a wide range of 1D and 2D barcodes.
WHAT MEDIA HANDLING OPTIONS DOES THE ZD611T-HC HAVE?
TEAR OFF
The standard ZD611t-hc printer configurations come with no special media handling and the printed label media is torn off by pulling against the tear bar.
PEEL OFF
This mode requires the Label Dispenser accessory.
As each label is printed it is peeled ready for its removal by the user.
CUT OFF
A cutter accessory is available which fits onto the front of the printer.
The printed label media passes through this unit and is cut across into individual pieces.
The label stationery will normally be non-adhesive label tags, receipt paper or self-adhesive labels with gaps.
WHAT ADVANCED FEATURES DOES THE ZD611T-HC HAVE?
ZEBRA PRINT TOUCH
The Zebra Print Touch features can be used with an Android-based, Near Field Communications-enabled device such as a smart phone or tablet.
Pairing the device to the printer is carried out by touching the printer's Print Touch logo with the device.
The device can then be used to collect information via prompts for use in a printed label.
BLUETOOTH LOW ENERGY
The printer's Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) feature can be used for short range communications with mobile devices.
It works with Zebra mobile setup utility applications to assist in printer setup, to perform media calibration and to maximise print quality.
